Wash High baseball is a varsity program here at Washington High School. Opening day was March 22 at Neshannock. There are big expectations for our team this year. We are the defending section champions and are on the teams to watch in the preseason rankings for 2014. Last year was a huge leap in our program. Our record went from 6-12 in 2012 to 11-5 in 2013. Coach Rocky Plassio won WPIAL AA Coach of the Year and coached in the All-Star game for AA. Jordan Allen, Jaylin Kelly and Guy Markley made the Post-Gazette all section team none of which are back. Wash High has 5 returning starters and 8 returning lettermen. This should be a great spring and everyone is excited for the season to start! |
